Finding the Right Business Part 5 – Don’t Be a Lone Ranger

The thought of trading hours for dollars the rest of your life is very depressing.

I can vividly remember being in traffic in New Orleans several years ago with a very successful doctor. He had been using our product, Juice PLUS+, for his patients because of our research. But when he decided to focus on building a business, I asked him why? His response was very impactful to me.

He said, “do you see the taxi over there?” When I responded yes, he said “that’s just like me! His meter only runs up a bill when his hands are on the steering wheel. As soon as he takes his hands off, the meter stops. I make a lot of money as long as I am doing procedures, surgery, or treating patients, but as soon as I stop, my income stops. I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I have to figure out a way to stop just trading hours for dollars and create residual income.“

He didn’t want to look back tired, wealthy and retired on all that he had missed in his life.

That happens primarily when you take your talents and go it alone or work for someone else and make your goal to fund retirement so that you can have a life of no worry at 65 or 70. There’s an industry that teaches this model to every young graduate. They are so talented yet they make their life mission their 401K.

Our business model is about building a team on a mission together. You own an income stream from building that well. You can do it wrong in our business model too, if you focus on going it alone. Our product is #1 in the world in its category but going it alone won’t get you the results you want. When you create an army, they claim much more territory & accomplish the bigger mission. Then your income is a small piece of what the army can do instead of all of what you can do alone.

One of the most successful business men ever, said it best.

“I’d rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than 100% of my own effort.”
— J. Paul Getty

Don’t trade the life you desire for a harvest with no life left to enjoy.

Find a business that is powered by people. Your relational capital is the greatest investment you will ever make!
